What’s great about this dog and cat water fountain is its removable water reservoir that snaps onto the back of the fountain. As your pets drink from the bowl of the fountain, the reservoir automatically refills the fountain bowl to maintain the water level.
Pets love running water and are drawn to it, so pet fountains naturally entice dogs and cats to drink more water. This is awesome because your pet needs 1 ounce of water per 1 pound of body weight to drink every day.
Not only does this cat and dog water fountain work hard to give your pet flowing water, but it also helps keep your pet’s water clean. A plastic pre-filter and carbon filter work together to remove bad tastes, odors and pet hair from your pet’s water. Meanwhile, the pet fountain pump constantly circulates the water to help prevent bacteria growth.
When it’s time to clean the fountain, simply disassemble the fountain and place the parts in the top rack of the dishwasher. Just make sure you hand wash the fountain pump separately.
